Overview
This article explains how to sign into the 8x8 Work desktop application using Single Sign-On (SSO) with the Log In With Organization method.
Prerequisites
Before signing in, ensure:
- The 8x8 desktop application is installed
- You have an active Seaman Paper Microsoft 365 account
- You are connected to the internet
Login Instructions
1. Open the 8x8 Desktop App
Launch the 8x8 Work application from your desktop or Start Menu.
2. Enter Your Company Email Address
On the login screen:
- Enter your Seaman Paper email address
- Click Continue
3. Select “Continue in Browser”
When prompted for authentication:
- Click Log In With Organization
This will open your default web browser.
4. Sign In with Microsoft
In the browser window:
- Enter your Seaman Paper Microsoft account credentials
- Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if prompted
5. Return to the 8x8 Application
After successful authentication:
- The browser will confirm the login
- The 8x8 desktop application should automatically sign in
You may close the browser window afterward if desired.
Troubleshooting
Browser Opens but Login Does Not Complete
- Ensure the 8x8 desktop application is still open
- Try closing and reopening the app
- Retry the “Continue in Browser” option
MFA Prompt Does Not Appear
- Verify you are signing in with your Seaman Paper Microsoft account
- Confirm your MFA device is available and connected
“Authentication Failed” or Looping Login
Try the following:
- Close the 8x8 app completely
- Restart your browser
- Sign out of other Microsoft accounts in the browser
- Reopen 8x8 and try again
Additional Notes
- No separate 8x8 password is required when using SSO
- Authentication is handled through Microsoft 365
- Users should always select Log In With Organization when prompted
