Complete Your 2FA Setup in NetSuite

1. Log In with a 2FA-Required Role

• When you log in to NetSuite for the first time with a 2FA-required role, you’ll be directed to the Security setup page.
• If you don’t see this page, you might not be logged in with a role that requires 2FA. Ask your Administrator to confirm if you have a 2FA-required role.

2. Install an Authenticator App

• Before starting, make sure you have an authenticator app installed on your phone (We suggest Microsoft Authenticator App).
• Note: SMS/voice call 2FA support ends March 1, 2024.

3. Access the Two-Factor Authentication Page

• After installing the authenticator app, click Next to proceed.

4. Scan the QR Code

• On the Two-Factor Authentication page, scan the QR code shown with your authenticator app, or manually enter the code displayed next to the QR code.
• The authenticator app will generate a verification code.

5. Enter the Verification Code

• Enter the verification code from the app. Codes expire every 30 seconds, so use a new code if the first one expires.

Important:

• Avoid entering several incorrect codes. After five failed attempts, you'll lock yourself out of NetSuite.
• 

6. Backup Codes

• After successful setup, you’ll see ten unique backup codes.
  • Backup codes can be used when you cannot receive a verification code. Each code is one-time use.
  • Important: Treat backup codes like passwords—store them securely.
• You can click Print to print the backup codes.

7. Finalize Setup

• Click Next to finish the setup.
• After setup, the Reset 2FA Settings and Generate Backup Code links will appear in your Settings portlet.

8. Remember:

• If you’re traveling or without phone service, backup codes are helpful since the authenticator app doesn’t require cell service to generate codes.
